【英文文法筆記】if (假設句)

《類型1》有可能發生的假設

句型：

if 現在簡單式(條件句) + 原型動詞未來式(結果句)

例句：

If I have time, I will study English.

如果接下來我有時間，我就會讀英文。(未來我可能有時間)

《類型2》與事實相反的假設

句型：

if 過去簡單式(條件句) +would/could/should/might+原型動詞未來式(結果句)

例句：

If I had time, I would study English.

如果我有時間，我就會讀英文。(現實是我就是沒時間)

If I were you, I would study English.

如果我是你，我就會讀英文。(現實是”我不是你”)

《類型3》與過去相反的假設

句型：

if 過去完成式(條件句) +would/could/should/might+ 過去分詞(結果句)

例句：

If I had had time, I would have studied English.

當時如果我有時間，我就會讀英文。(那個時候我就是沒時間)

If Mike had been in charge of the project, we probably might have had more success.

如果當時由麥克負責這個專案，我們說不定會更成功。(當時麥克就是沒負責那專案)

《綜合練習》

If I had studied English seriously, I would have had a better job. If I were you, I would make greater efforts on it. Therefore, if I have time, I will study English.

當初如果我認真讀英文，說不定會有更好的工作。如果我是你，我就會在那上面做更多努力。因此，接下來如果我有時間，我就會讀英文。
